On2 Technologies provides outstanding video compression and quality for Flash video files.
digiWeb Encoding can provide any variety of Flash video for social networking sites, media
conglomerates, video on demand, and mobile content providers.
A proprietary video type developed by RealNetworks and can only be played with their
RealPlayer, this video compression offers both video and audio streaming.
A new standard in delivering HD quality audio and video with minimal file space. H264 is part of
the MPEG-4 standard and can be used for a broad range of bandwidths, from mobile devices
such as Apple's iPhone™ and other Smart Phone devices to High Definition movie trailers.
MPEG-4 is a universal standard in video compression which scales high quality video to a much
smaller file size. MPEG-4 can be used for DVD, Internet, and Mobile video.
The difference between H264 and MPEG-4 is that MPEG-4 is the universal video file that can be
developed by any third party and has been around since 2002, which means it is more
compatible on older computers and mobile devices. H264 was developed by Apple and is
considered MPEG-4 part 10, offering better quality, compression, and file size, however because
it is still fairly new, many older computers will have trouble playing these videos. H264 is
playable on both Blu Ray and HD-DVD discs.
Microsoft Windows™ offers a safe and protective way for your company to display video over
the Internet without exposing the videos to Peer to Peer file sharing sites using Digital Rights
Management (DRM). Windows Media is used on approximately 80% of the computers, however
DRM is not compatible with Apple's operating system or Linux (with the exception of the user
having hybrid software such as Parallels™ with Windows installed). digiWeb Encoding is certified
through Microsoft and can offer download or stream with the addition of Microsoft DRM to
protect your data.
is a high definition video type developed by Microsoft which was recently obtained as a standard
in high definition. VC-1 has been adapted to be used on the XBox 360 and is playable for both
HD DVD and Blu-Ray. The quality is very high at a much smaller file size, however this video
format is not compatible with many older computers without the proper video codec's installed.
is Microsoft's latest video format that will compete head to head with Adobe Flash in 2008.
Silverlight promises to deliver HD quality video at a much smaller size with more user
interaction and abilities than Flash. For more information, goto: Silverlight.net
